About PFAC
The Plymouth Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is a non-profit organization that affiliates with the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Dept.
The Plymouth Fine Arts Council started in 1995 through the effort of the City of Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department. A group of citizens with a common interest in visual and performing arts came together as “Plymouth Community Arts”.
Our mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of visual, musical, literary and theater arts.
Our Goals to this end are to:
- Develop and promote artistic learning experiences;
- Support local artists in their creative endeavors;
- Provide creative/artistic viewing opportunities;
- Encourage participation by all residents and businesses in community arts programs.
In response to these goals, PFAC facilitates juried art exhibits in the Plymouth Creek Center and City Hall featuring a different artist each month. If you’re an adult artist, interested in exhibiting your art in this program, call Karol at (763) 509-5223.
The City of Plymouth and PFAC spotlight youth art during February when local elementary schools present a city art exhibit.
The arts council also sponsors the annual springtime Primavera celebration of the arts, including a juried art show with musical, literary and dramatic entertainment.
You can be involved with Arts in Plymouth by becoming a "Friend of the Arts”. Call (763) 509-5223 for membership information.
PFAC provides partial funding to the Plymouth Concert Band.

It was formed in 1998 in partnership with the Plymouth Fine Arts Council and the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department, with additional support provided by its members, local businesses and area residents.
