2nd Annual Public Art Banner Competition

The Plymouth Fine Arts Council is sponsoring the 2nd annual Public Art Banner Competition.  As a follow-up to last year’s successful contest, this year’s chosen banners will be added to a display to be hung this summer on city light posts in the civic center area of Plymouth.

Original designs will be painted by selected artists on both sides of 2’ X 4’ weather resistant fabric banners.  This contest is open to artists 18 years and older with prizes awarded to three best of show designs as determined by the Plymouth Arts Committee Jury.

Entry deadline:  Friday, May 2, 4:30 p.m.

ART DISPLAYS IN PLYMOUTH

The Plymouth Fine Arts Council (PFAC) and the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department sponsor monthly art exhibitions in the Plymouth Creek Center and the Plymouth City Hall. To exhibit your art, you must be a "Friend of the Art" member.

16th Annual PLYMOUTH AUTUMN ART FAIR

Saturday, September 20, 2008, 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.

Parkers Lake Park

Quality artists will sell their products and the Plymouth Recycling Program will sponsor free art activities for children. Food fendors will set up in the parking lot throughout the day.

Primavera Primavera 2008

The 12th annual Primavera Arts Celebration will be held at the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N. from April 18-22, 2008.  Plymouth’s annual fine arts show will feature the juried artwork of area adult artists.  Art instructors from Plymouth area high schools will submit their students’ artwork to complete the show.  The exhibit will include a variety of art media to include oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, graphite drawings, metal sculpture, ceramics, photography, fiber/bead art and mixed media. Live music, free family art activities and literary performances will also be featured.

This FREE event is co-sponsored by the Plymouth Fine Arts Council and the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department.
