TREASURER

Tom grew up immersed in art thanks to his dad, a commercial artist. Over time, Tom developed his own creative path as a photographer and artist, while also building a career as an investment portfolio manager. He brought to the Council a strong desire to see Plymouth establish a year-round art gallery, where today he is instrumental in setting up and curating exhibits. Tom delights in fostering connections between artists, local galleries, and our community. 

SECRETARY

May Ling, a local artist specializing in painting and drawing, joined the Arts Council in 2018. She uses her art as a tool for education, advocating for accessibility and spreading awareness about invisible illnesses. May Ling earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Minnesota and her Master’s in Fine Art from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design where she currently works in their Learning Center and Accessibility Services department. 

PRESIDENT

Laura is a strong advocate for the arts and has been representing the Plymouth Arts Council since 2020. She’s a writer and storyteller, and creates whimsical and witty paintings that reflect animals, found objects, and puns. As an experienced designer and strategist, Laura has been improving brand experiences for over 20 years. She is passionate about bridging the gap between the arts and business.

VICE PRESIDENT

A Plymouth resident since 2002, Roberta enjoys creating art and experimenting with a variety of mediums. With both corporate and nonprofit management experience, she brings expertise in strategic planning, marketing, and fundraising to the Plymouth Arts Council. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. Roberta is committed to supporting local artists and believes in the power of art to educate, inspire, and bring people together.

BOARD MEMBER

Following her retirement as a teacher in the Wayzata High School Theater and English departments, Jacque became a guide at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. She also worked at the Guthrie Theatre as an assistant to the Director of Education and Community Partnerships. As a member of the Plymouth Arts Council, Jacque especially enjoys sharing the work of artists and students with the community.

BOARD MEMBER

Artist, master gardener, and small business owner are just a few of the many hats Jamie wears. She believes in the healing nature of art, which helps explain her transformation from corporate IT executive to entrepreneur, art teacher, and freelance writer. Jamie opened Lime Street Creative + Co because of a deep desire to live creatively and share her custom creations. She joined the Council to nurture stronger connections between art and the broader community.

CITY OF PLYMOUTH LIAISON

Alyssa has been with the City of Plymouth for over 15 years. As Recreation Supervisor, she plans, coordinates, and manages municipal recreation programs, specialized community events, athletics, and facility operations. She supports the Plymouth Arts Council by connecting our efforts and vision with those of the City.
